Dear Homeschooler,

The University of Nebraska High School (UNHS) is celebrating its 85th year of service to students worldwide by providing you with resources to improve your student's confidence for college and online courses.

UNHS started as correspondence education to students in rural Nebraska in 1929 and has become one of the most respected and valued online high school education programs in the country.

Home School families appreciate our school's:
  • Academic rigor
  • Tremendous flexibility of self-paced study that fits any family's schedule
  • Variety of courses—100+ core, elective and Advanced Placement
  • 24/7 access
  • Open enrollment—enroll any day of the year
Each year, UNHS graduates and former students go on to prestigious colleges and universities, and for years we have received feedback that these students are well-prepared for college thanks to their UNHS experience.

With this in mind, we recently wrote a series of articles dedicated to preparing students for college academics and life. Throughout the articles, our academic advisers and experts from University of Nebraska campuses share their insights.

We would also like to provide you with a series of articles regarding characteristics of successful online students. Since more and more college students are taking at least one course online, these articles are valuable for preparing for college as well.

I hope this information is useful to you. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Sincerely,

Barbara Wolf Shousha
Director, University of Nebraska High School
